Spring

Lawn maintenance starts around March 1st. For Bermuda lawns starts with a scalping or detaching. This process is to take away all of the thatch from previous growing season. Fescue lawns are mowed on a weekly basis, at 2 or 3 inches tall. Bermuda starts a weekly basis until the beginning of April as it is coming out of dormancy. The beginning of the spring is the best time to aerate Bermuda grass.

Summer

Bermuda lawns are continuously mowed at a height that is adequate for each lawn. Some lawns can be mowed at a low height, others require to be mowed at a taller height due to, different types of soil, moisture, and preference. Fescue lawns are raised to 3.5 inches to protect them from the intense summer heat.

Fall

As Fall approaches fescue lawns are prepared for over-seeding around the middle of September. Bermuda lawns usually stop growing around the first week of November. Second week of November we start our efforts toward leaf cleanup. This is done throughout the winter months to ensure that your lawn stays free of leaves so that the turf areas receive the most benefit from any chemical applications that are applied
